If things were up to me, there would be a special tax on applying certain adjectives to yourself. These words include quirky, creative, awesome, cool, charming, mysterious, deep and complicated. Irony would be deductible, but only up to a certain point.
I’m thinking 10 percent of the respect you are currently held in by strangers, friends, coworkers and family for every word on the list would be a reasonable starting rate. Not sure if progressive taxation (tax those already held in high esteem more) or a flat rate is the best way to go.
